FROM THE 2006 WOMEN‘S  EUROPEANS - GOLD AND SILVER

 

     Lithuanian womens succeeded  in the 2006 European Championships held in Viterbo, Italy .

     Alina Cepurnienė, 37, was the best among women bodybuilders up to 57 kg. For Alina this championship was the fifth. She made her debut in 1993 and then took the 16th place. Then several years Cepurnienė also were not successful – 8th place in 2004, 9th – in 2005. For this time she was obviously in good shape and distinctly overcame other participants. It’s not the first Alina’s victory – last year she was the best in the Worlds and European Masters Championships.

     2003 European body fitness champion, second at the 2003 and 2005 World Championships Zivile Raudoniene, 24, in  body fitness event (class up to 168  cm) won the silver medal. Zivile’s way to her second European gold medal this time was blocked by twice World champion Slovak Lenka Chalupkova.

 

 

 

Cepurniene’s European gold medal is the second in Lithuanian women

bodybuilding history. In 1993 European champion title was won by

Natalija Murnikoviene, later famous pro competitor.
